About Me
My name is Shriya and I am currently in 12th grade. I have been playing tennis for almost 8 years now. For 5 of those years, I played competitive tournaments. I currently have been playing on my high school varsity team in the one singles position. I love teaching others how to play as I was once learning for the first time as well.
Teaching Style
As I have been teaching for the past few years I have learned that people learn best once you understand their preferred method of learning. Some people learn better visually, while others prefer comparisons and more verbal explanations. I try to understand my students as soon as possible, so that way we can move forward quickly.
I try to make sure that I cover the main techniques of groundstrokes, volleys, and serves in my lessons. However, I also make sure that my students understand and have down the important concepts before moving on to something new.
Most Importantly, I want to make sure my students are having fun. The journey of learning something new should always be the most memorable!
