About Me
Hi, my name is Diego. I’ve played tennis since I was in second grade. I was a top-20 player in my state in South America as a junior. In the U.S., I played for the Long Beach City College tennis team, and reached the doubles playoffs. I’ve taught kids on clay in South America at a club and I also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club as tennis instructor. I have taught adult-beginners too. Currently I'm coaching High School students, kids and adults. I am passionate about tennis, and love to share what I know about the game with students.
Teaching Style
My lessons include: warm-up, drills, playing tennis, video analysis. I like to identify student's strengths and make them better. I recommend physical fitness drills and emphasize the importance of the mental game. I illustrate points using current pros.

Diego was working with my 7yo today. I got just one happy kid after the lesson.
All exercises and drills were challenging but still doable, so it kept my boy engaged and focused for the whole lesson. And he asked for more lessons:))
Diego is a patient coach who focuses his lessons on the student and their abilities. He has great skill and is very accommodating with his schedule. I was able to see immediate improvement in my game only after a few lessons. I highly recommend him as a coach.

Diego was great!
I have worked with Diego for over a month now - twice per week - and even I am surprised at my progression. His warm ups with foam balls has been especially beneficial in getting my swing groove.
I've played with Diego many times and have had a great experience. He's extremely reliable, flexible and nice. Whether you're interested in just hitting or want to improve your game and get some solid coaching/training, he's the guy to do it with. I'm also planning to have him teach my kids when they're old enough to start playing and look forward to that experience.

Diego is very knowledgeable and has great drills designed to help improve form and consistency. He is also a solid player. He and I rally hard each practice and he plays hard each time and gives me a great hour.
