About Me
Hello, my name is Anthony. I've been teaching tennis professionally for more than 25 years. I enjoy teaching all ages and levels since I am able to adapt my teaching style to fit the needs of each student. So whether you are a beginner who requires patience and positive encouragement or you are an advanced player looking to get to that next level, I will get you there, fast!
Since I've owned and operated two tennis shops in CT, my services extend beyond the tennis court. I am a Master Racquet Technician, which is the highest professional designation for tennis racquet expertise and service. I can check your equipment to ensure a proper fit. Need a tune-up? Strings , grip weighting and balancing ... I can do it for you.
Teaching Style
The three main components of any good lesson are:
1. Warmup. This is a skill based workout, which prepared body and mind for that which is to follow.
2. The Body. Primary objectives and skills are worked on
3. Conclusion. This always includes a review and homework assignment. Many times it also includes match play and/or live ball application.
I specialize in bringing all components of the the game together for each student. These components consist of stroke mechanics, footwork and movement, tactics and strategy, mental toughness and emotional control, and finally, strength and speed conditioning.

Anthony is an amazing couch and my kids love their private lessons with him! Shame we live in France!
I truly cannot say enough great things about our experience working with Anthony. Our son has been taking tennis seriously for about a year now, and he has really enjoyed his training sessions with this coach. Not only have the sessions been a lot of fun, we have noticed significant improvement in his overall game and technique in a very short amount of time. Anthony is clearly an experienced pro and I can tell by watching the practices that he quickly adapts to the training needs of his clients. He is easy to work with, always on time, and takes his job seriously. He is definitely a five-star coach all around!
I have taken two lessons so far with Anthony. As a complete novice, he has been more than patient and understanding with me. I have already felt a huge difference in my forehand and backhand. Anthony does a great job breaking down the components of the swing so that it is easy for me to understand and apply his progressions. I also feel I am getting a great workout with the way he uses live ball drills in our lessons. I look forward to many more lessons with him.
Tony is an excellent tennis instructor. He is very hands on with his approach, correcting as he teaches with just the right amount of praise and instruction. I saw improvement in my swing by the end of the lesson and was able to carry what I learned onto the court the very next time I played.
I had one lesson--one of the most productive, fun experiences, I have ever had in a tennis lesson. The lesson was packed with tips, I have never learned so much hands on, usable information for my tennis game, in one single hour!! Anthony has a great attitude, always smiling, but very professional, which makes the time very useful, uplifting and educational. He is a great motivator, and very astute at quickly delineating the level of my play, in order to teach me in a way to move my game forward rapidly. I have gained much from one hour, I will take more lessons with him, and very highly recommend him as the best instructor and coach I have been taught by.
